Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 19, 2026

Overview

AdaEdge (“AdaEdge”, “we”, “us”) operates the AdaEdge web experience at adaedge.net. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We only collect data needed to operate the product, plus the advertising measurement described below. We do not sell your data. To measure our own ad campaigns we share limited, largely hashed event data with Meta — see “Advertising measurement” — and we do not otherwise use your data for cross-app or cross-website advertising.

  • Account information. Email address and a password (stored hashed by our authentication provider). Optional display name. We use this only to create and maintain your account and to authenticate you.
  • Subscription status. Whether your account has an active Premium subscription, the source of the subscription (web/Stripe), and the renewal date. We do not store full payment card details — those stay with Stripe.
  • Predictions and picks. The picks you submit (winner / over-under), the picks generated by the AI agents you configure, and the resolution status of each pick after the game finishes.
  • AI agent configuration. The agent name, avatar, confidence level, analysis style, custom instructions, custom rules, and star players you set for your agents.
  • AI-generated content. Reasoning, key factors, post-game lessons, and bracket-discussion chat messages produced by our AI agents while serving your account.
  • In-app activity (Bankroll Units). A non-redeemable virtual currency balance and ledger used for in-app gamification. Bankroll Units have no real-world monetary value and cannot be cashed out.
  • Diagnostic data. Standard server logs (IP address, request paths, timestamps) used to operate, secure, and debug the service. We do not use these for advertising.

How we use your information

  • Service operation. Authenticate you, maintain your account, and serve the features you use (predictions, agents, leaderboard, bracket, lessons).
  • Personalization. Run your AI agents according to the configuration you set and tailor in-app content to your selections.
  • Communications. Transactional messages tied to your account (password reset, subscription receipts via Stripe). We do not send marketing emails without explicit opt-in.
  • Security and abuse prevention. Detect and prevent unauthorized access, abuse, or fraud against the service.
  • Legal compliance. Comply with applicable law and respond to lawful requests.

Third-party processors

We use the following service providers to operate AdaEdge. They process data strictly on our behalf and only for the purposes described below.

  • Supabase. Authentication, database, and storage. Stores your account, profile, predictions, agents, and lessons.
  • Google Gemini. Generates AI agent reasoning, picks, and bracket discussion responses. We send game context and your agent configuration to generate model output.
  • Stripe. Processes Premium subscription payments on the web. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Render. Hosts our backend API.
  • Vercel. Hosts the AdaEdge web frontend at adaedge.net.
  • Google Analytics 4. Product usage analytics: page views and in-app events (for example, a pick submitted or a partner link clicked). Events are tied to an opaque account identifier — never your email or name — and we do not use them for advertising.
  • PostHog. Product analytics and session recordings. PostHog records page views, in-app events, and replays of how sessions interact with the interface (clicks, scrolling, navigation) so we can find and fix usability problems. Text you type into input fields is masked in recordings by default. Sessions are tied to an opaque account identifier — never your email or name — and we do not use PostHog for advertising.
  • Google Tag Manager. Loads our advertising-measurement tags (currently the Meta pixel). Tag Manager itself stores no personal data; every tag it loads is governed by this policy.
  • Meta (Facebook) — pixel and Conversions API. Measures our own ad campaigns on Meta platforms. The Meta pixel on our site records page views and key funnel events (signing up, creating your first agent, buying Fuel) together with cookie identifiers (_fbp/_fbc), your IP address, and browser information. Our servers additionally send Meta a copy of those conversions carrying your email address and account ID only as SHA-256 hashes, plus IP address and browser information, so conversions blocked in the browser are still counted (a shared event ID prevents double counting). Used solely to measure and improve our own advertising — see "Advertising measurement" below for details and choices.
  • Vault affiliate network (routy.app). Records that a referral to a partner platform came from AdaEdge so we receive credit. We send no personal data; the network sees your IP address and browser as it would on any website you visit.

Data we do not collect

  • Ad profiles and data sales. We do not sell your data and we do not build advertising profiles about you. We do use Meta’s pixel and Conversions API to measure our own ad campaigns — see "Advertising measurement" below. AdaEdge also contains affiliate links to partner platforms — see "Affiliate links" below. We do not pass your email, account ID, or any other personal data to those affiliate partners; once you follow such a link, the partner’s own privacy policy applies.
  • Precise location. We do not collect GPS or precise location data.
  • Health, financial, or sensitive personal data. Outside of subscription billing handled by Stripe, we do not collect health, financial, or other sensitive categories of personal data.
  • Real-money wagers. AdaEdge is for entertainment and statistical analysis. There is no real-money betting, no deposits, and no withdrawals inside AdaEdge. We do link to partner platforms where you can trade or wager real money on their own terms; we never see, hold, or process those transactions.

Advertising measurement

We advertise AdaEdge on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram) and use Meta’s measurement tools to understand whether those ads work. This is measurement of our own campaigns — we do not show third-party ads inside AdaEdge and we do not sell or rent your data to advertisers.

  • In your browser. The Meta pixel (loaded via Google Tag Manager) records page views and key funnel events — signing up, creating your first agent, buying Fuel — along with Meta’s cookie identifiers (_fbp/_fbc), your IP address, and browser information.
  • From our servers. We send Meta a server-side copy of those conversions so that ones blocked in the browser are still counted. It contains your email address and account ID only as SHA-256 hashes, plus IP address, browser information, and the same cookie identifiers. A shared event ID lets Meta de-duplicate the browser and server copies, so nothing is counted twice.
  • What it is used for. Attributing signups and purchases to our ads and improving how our campaigns are delivered. Meta also processes this data under its own terms; see Meta’s Privacy Policy.
  • Your choices. Ad-blocking and tracking-protection tools limit the pixel. You can review and control how Meta uses data about you at facebook.com/adpreferences, and you can always reach us at privacy@adaedge.net.

Affiliate links

Some links to partner platforms on AdaEdge — including the ones on our Where to Bet page — are affiliate links. If you open an account through one, the partner pays us a commission. It costs you nothing extra and never changes what our agents predict or how a partner is ranked.

  • What we record. A click event in Google Analytics 4 noting which partner and which part of the app the click came from. It contains no name, email, or account identifier.
  • What the partner receives. Your click, your IP address, and your browser, exactly as any website you visit would receive. We do not send them your personal data.
  • Opting out. Every partner offer can also be claimed with our promo code instead of the link. Using the code means no referral click is recorded by the network.

Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, we delete the associated personal data within 30 days, except for records we are required to retain for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes (for example, payment records held by Stripe).

Your choices and rights

  • Access and correction. You can view and edit your profile, agents, and picks at any time inside the app.
  • Account deletion. Email us at privacy@adaedge.net to request deletion of your account and associated data.
  • Subscription management. Manage or cancel your Premium subscription on the web at adaedge.net via the Stripe billing portal.
  • Marketing. We do not run marketing email campaigns at this time. If we add them later, they will be opt-in and include an unsubscribe link.

Depending on where you live (e.g., the EU/EEA, UK, California, Brazil), you may have additional rights such as portability, restriction of processing, or to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. Reach out at privacy@adaedge.net to exercise any of those rights.

Children

AdaEdge is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, email privacy@adaedge.net and we will delete it.

Security

We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit via HTTPS, hashed passwords via Supabase, scoped database access via row-level security) to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure; if we discover a breach affecting your data, we will notify you as required by law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Continued use of AdaEdge after a change means you accept the updated policy.
